We are gonna be in California Saturday till the Friday after Thanksgiving. Unfortunately this means I can't come to Friendsgiving, but I will be around. I'm staying at my Dad's new place in Valley Springs (a couple hours out of the bay), but we are planning a trip to the coast or SF or something with the kids. Who is gonna be around and off work and when and such?

So, does anyone know what the rules are regarding voter registration and primary elections? It has crossed my mind to change my registration to Republican, just to get in on this primary. I mean, the only candidate they have presented that I remotely trust is Ron Paul.

I just read a lot about the issues around student loans today here. Combined with the horrible job market, it poses a risk to the economy and the federal government's balance sheet; and it is impacting the offerings of colleges and universities everywhere.
